Dobra Tea moves from Burlington’s Church Street to Winooski Avenue

After 18 years in Burlington’s Church Street Market, Dobra Tea is moving, but not too far.

Dobra Tea is already moving into its new location at 125 S. Winooski Ave.

The owners of Dobra Tea have announced the January 12 move of the tea house Facebook page after the Church Street location was closed for two weeks.

“We mourn the passing of the old space, but this is also a time of great excitement: a new space means a new opportunity to clarify our vision and find ways to better serve you and the spirit of the salon. of tea,” the post read.

The Burlington Tea House was the first Dobra tea in the United States. The Czech Republic-based tea company was established in Prague shortly after the Czech Republic was liberated from communist control in the 1990s. Locations have expanded to small towns in the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland. There are now eight locations in the United States

Dobra offers teas from around the world and dishes to combine. The teahouse has not announced an opening date for the Winooski Avenue location, but customers can order loose leaf tea online in the meantime, according to the store’s Facebook page.
