Ludlow United Church Announces New Pastor | Community

LUDLOW, Vermont – Michelle Fountain of Rutland has been called as the new pastor of Ludlow United Church.

Fountain graduated in 2007 from the Vermont Academy of Spiritual Training through the Vermont Conference of the United Church of Christ and is a member of their pastoral preparation program. Previously, she was director of Christian education and moderator for the North Pomfret Congregational Church and later as a deacon and member of the Learning with Grace and Congregational Engagement teams for Grace Congregational Church in Rutland.

In addition to serving Ludlow United Church, Fountain teaches English at Woodstock Union High School in Woodstock, Vermont, and was recognized in June 2021 as Teacher of the Year.

“I am delighted to meet the parishioners of Ludlow United Church, but also the Ludlow community in general. I look forward to working with community organizations and other faith communities in the region as we seek to support people through life’s challenges and celebrations, ”said Fountain.

Ludlow United Church is located at 48 Pleasant Street. The church is accessible to people with disabilities and organizes services every Sunday at 10 a.m., followed by a period of communion. As a federated church of Congregationalists and Methodists, the congregation is made up of many people who have continued their faith journey in other Protestant and Roman Catholic traditions. We all invite to worship with us.
