The families and friends of the late Pastor Nomthi Odukoya gathered at the headquarters of the Fountain of Life Church in Lagos, to mourn her and bid her their final farewells.

The 47-year-old South African died in the UK about two weeks ago after battling cancer.

Tears streamed from the eyes of many at the funeral services.

Pastor Matthew Asimolowo preached the word of God while the President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Bishop Francis Wale Oke prayed for the Odukoya family. The fountain of the choir of the church, “the Levites of grace,” led the congregations in hymns.

The remains of the late Pastor Nomthi were transported to an undisclosed location for private burial.

Popular gospel musician, Pastor Nathaniel Bassey ministered on the night of tributes.

The late Pastor Nomthi married Pastor Taiwo Odukoya on January 5, 2010, five years after losing his first wife, Pastor Bimbo Odukoya in the Sosoliso plane crash in 2005.

While her marriage to Bimbo produced three children, her marriage to Nomthi produced two sons.
